Alarm Mode uses AlarmKit to request a system alarm when the countdown ends, instead of relying only on a standard push notification. Actual alert behavior depends on permissions, device state, and Focus settings.
Friend Authorization
Go to Me → Notification Settings → Alarm Permissions and enable alarms. Then choose which friends can send you alarms. You're always in control — revoke anytime.
Enable on Creation
When creating a countdown for you, your friend can toggle on "Alarm Mode." You'll see an alarm badge on the countdown.
Ring When Due
When the countdown reaches zero, the app requests a system alarm. Whether it sounds is determined by Apple AlarmKit, your permissions, device state, and Focus settings at that time.
